Eric C. Leas, PhD MPH is an assistant professor at the University of California, San Diego's Herbert Wertheim School of Public Health and was previously a fellow at the Stanford Prevention Research Center. His expertise is in drug policy and research methodology and has received funding from the US Food and Drug Administration, the National Institute on Drug Abuse, and the California Department of Public Health to support his research in these areas. He earned graduate degrees at the University of California, San Diego and the University of California, Los Angeles and during his studies he lived in Kigali, Rwanda as a Drabkin/Bixby Global Health scholar.
